Background Information
The invasion of Iwo Jima was one of the last major raids on Japanese held territory during World War II. This was the final step for procuring the deployment of the A-Bomb, or potentially the final step for the beginning phase of Operation Downfall. The goal of taking this island was to strip the Japanese of their morale, and the critical airfields that lay on the island. It was a short, but grueling engagement from the start. The Japanese had tunnels, gun emplacements and traps all over the island: all were well hidden. This is a tough operation, so expect to die a lot, but it's all in the nature of fun and experiencing this amazing map and operation.
Additional Mods
You will be required to use our 101st Airborne preset and the Iwo Jima map mod.
Additional Information
Since we're operation as Marines in 1945, we will have access to an array of weapons, and the layout is quite simple and allows for fluid changes between the teams. Each squad will have their own Landing Vehicle Track (LVTA) for deployment from the Landing Vehicle Tank (LST).

Operation Varsity is the airborne operation that falls under Operation Plunder, an assault to cross the northern Rhine River and enter Northern Germany. Operation Varsity is designed to help the surface river assault troops secure a foothold across the Rhine River in Western Germany by landing the 6th British Airborne Division, and the 101st Airborne Division (A-Historical) on the eastern bank of the Rhine, near the town of Wesel. The main objectives are to capture the town, artillery positions and the bridges as the river assault troops make their move.

Operation Torch was the first airborne and naval invasion conducted by the United States of America with the United Kingdom in a joint effort to retake French North Africa, and spearhead Libya. French Forces of the colonies have aligned themselves with Vichy France, a shattered French government being the puppet of the German Reich. General Dwight D. Eisenhower organized three amphibious task forces and one airlanding force to land in French Morroco and French Algiers. The unit we will be playing as, the 82nd Airborne, 509th Parachute Infantry Regiment was tasked to land in Oran and capture two strategic airstrips.
