Operation Wallflower - RDF/1979

Event details

Background Information

Less than 24 hours ago, fascist government forces, fearing a loss in the upcoming state election, and backed by a cabal of high ranking military officials within the Micro-State of Malden, partook in a partially successful coup, seizing control of the capital city of the Island Nation, and digging in in an attempt to wear out the resolve of the free democratic government forces, enticing them to accept the will of the fascist candidates, and relinquish all remaining power and forces unto them. In order to put a swift end to this fiasco, the remaining elements of the free democratic Malden government have requested aid from NATO in the form of a military intervention, led by the United States.

The purpose of Operation Wallflower is for United States armed forces units of the newly formed Rapid Deployment Joint Task Force to partake in the retaking of the city of La Trinité, to drive out pro fascist forces around and within the city, & return it back into the hands of the free democratic government, resulting in a swift conclusion to an otherwise possibly lengthy and bloody civil-war-like affair.

Additional Mods

You will be required to use the 101st Airborne Cold-War Modset + the Custom Rapid Deployment Force. This mods are only to be distributed by Command Staff to individuals who are interested in joining in for the operation.

Additional Information

Since we're going to be operating in the 1970s as the 101st, a few things will change. We will be focused on air-assault operations, pilots will be utilizing helicopters and infantry will be deploying from them: as well as our ORBAT changes.
