Background Information
Operation Overlord was the first massive combat drop conducted by a joint-allied force on the European Theater of Operations. It is coined the pivotal turning point for the allies on its destructive path towards the heart of the axis powers. The 101st Airborne Division made it's debut in combat after years of training: focused on seizing multiple causeways and assisting infantry units in their own objectives.
