  17. Quarter Two - March, 2024 Technician Fifth Grade Dylan Christ Tech Corporal Dylan Christ joined the 101st Airborne Division Realism Unit on July 8th, 2023 where he was first assigned as a Rifleman in First Squad, First Platoon. Since then, Tech Corporal Christ has made an exceptional use of his time, improving the quality of the units documentation, training, and recruitment since first joining. He has made great strides in improving the communities activities and putting himself out there as a friendly and helping hand. From the beginning, Tech Corporal Christ made an impact on the appreciation for our subject matter, sharing his experiences of being airborne, and his knowledge and practices in administrative work! He has made steady efforts in boosting the Platoons morale, acting as an excellent leader in the field - and an excellent hand in administrative work. Without his efforts, we would surely be less off. Thank you for all you do Christ! Airborne! Why did you join the 101st Airborne Division? I just got out of a Modern Day unit after three years and was looking to return back to WWII. I knew of Henderson from my past with WWII and decided that this would be the best home to me. Any favorite/funny/memorable moment throughout our whole time in the unit? Just being around, having participation on the Teamspeak and in other games. A lot of the people that I end up seeing a lot help make just funny and fun things happen near constantly. It's not always a circus, but it wouldn't be as much fun if it were. Any advice to give to your fellow Paratroopers? I dunno. I just know that, each day, I try to make it a habit of doing the best work that I can possibly do. Some days its not that much, other days I feel like I did my best work yet. What value is the most important to you and why? To say humility I feel would be something of an oxymoron so I guess I will go with integrity. More so, just own up when you fall short of your own expectations of your work or when you make a mistake. You won't always be right, you won't always do the right thing. Sometimes all you can do is learn to not do what you just did again. What motivates you? I dunno, I have a fun time here and I'd like for others to also have a fun time as well. I guess what motivates me to go out and keep trying to contribute is so that hopefully the unit can grow and keep finding those individuals who also want to help make a difference. What would you say about the progress of the unit, and how you've contributed to it? We have filled out in what seems to be both appearance and activity. I don't know how much I have helped with that. I put a couple people through interviews, I put some more through BCT's and helped with ITPT, but really through retention that's mostly on everyone else that's here. I pop on Teamspeak every now and again but in reality, everyone else helps with the retention a lot more than I do. Any valuable lessons you have learned while being in the unit? Don't be afraid to ask. Whatever it is, just ask. Worst they can say is no, but very rarely are they going to punish you if that question is in good faith.
